为何婴儿不适宜饮用清水？
由于婴儿的肾脏尚未发育健全，过量的水份会导致钠离子（sodium)流失，发生水中毒，进而影响脑部活动。婴儿水中毒的症状包括异常烦躁，痉挛，疲累，呕吐，频密排尿，脸部浮肿等。如有发现以上症状，请务必马上就医。
宝宝缺水或泻肚子时也不能饮用清水吗？
母乳与配方奶粉其实包含了高达约88％的水份。所以在轻微的泻肚子情况下，其实只要稍加频密的喂食母乳或配方奶粉即可补充足够水份。与大人一样，宝宝泻肚子时同样会导致缺水。缺水的症状包括嘴唇干燥，眼泪分泌变少及减少排尿等。如有发现以上症状，请务必马上就医。若有需要，医护人员将会给予宝宝特定分量的生理盐水，以有效补充足够水份。
